FAQ
I feel pain or pressure on my natural nails what should I do?
Oya Nails are designed to be lightweight and comfortable. If you feel pain or pressure, it may be because your natural nails are flatter than the nail tips.
Here are two simple solutions:
- Adjust the curve with heat
Place warm water in a glass, then gently press the nail tip against the inside of the glass. The heat and light pressure can help flatten it for a better fit. - Use an extra Gel Pad
Add a second layer of Gel Pad to slightly adjust the curve and improve comfort.
Before reapplying, wait until your natural nails are no longer sore. When applying, position the tip close to the cuticle without pushing it too far underneath to reduce pressure and ensure a comfortable fit.
Why don’t my nails stay on properly?
For better hold, here are a few simple tips that can make a big difference :
- Wash and fully degrease your hands before application (no cream before or after).
- Lightly warm the Gel Pads for a few seconds with a hairdryer before applying them this helps activate the adhesive.
- Choosing the right size is essential. Many people go too big. The nail should not touch the skin on the sides, as this can cause lifting and allow natural oils to get underneath, reducing adhesion. A perfect fit ensures better retention.
- When applying, place the tip slightly under the cuticle area (without forcing it), then press from bottom to top and top to bottom to remove any air bubbles.
- We recommend applying before bedtime, as the first 3 hours are key for adhesion this avoids water, cooking, or oil exposure.
- After application, avoid creams or oils on the hands and nails.
- Finally, avoid using your nails as tools, as this can also cause lifting.
How can I prevent pain or discomfort around the cuticles?
If you feel discomfort, it’s often due to a nail tip that’s been positioned incorrectly or pushed too far under the cuticle. Make sure to place it just at the cuticle line, without pushing. Our flexible soft gel nails are designed to naturally conform to the nail shape without pressure or pain.
Are they reusable?
Yes! With careful application and removal, Oya Nails can be reused multiple times without losing their shine or shape. Made from soft gel, a flexible and durable material, Oya Nails are designed for long-lasting use. This not only helps you save money by avoiding frequent salon visits but also reduces your environmental impact.
Are Oya Nails suitable for bitten or short nails?
Yes! Oya Nails are ideal even for short or bitten nails. Thanks to their lightweight, flexible soft gel, they adhere easily to the natural surface without discomfort. Just make sure to properly prep the nail and use a gentle adhesive for a secure, natural, and long-lasting hold.
Are they suitable for all hand types?
Yes! Our Oya Nails are designed to fit most hand shapes and sizes. Each box includes 15 to 16 different sizes (depending on the model), organized from largest to smallest to make it easier to find your perfect fit and keep them neatly stored. Each nail is also numbered so you can easily identify the right size for each finger.
The designs vary in shape and curvature for example, almond shapes are slightly more curved.
Thanks to their soft gel design, they’re very adaptable: one trick is to slightly soften them in a glass of warm water, then press them against the outer wall of the glass to adjust the curve to your natural nail.
Is soft gel safe for natural nails?
Absolutely! Our products are formulated to be gentle and safe for natural nails. The soft gel’s flexible texture allows it to adhere perfectly to the nail surface without damage, as long as it’s applied and removed properly. It provides long-lasting wear and a high-gloss finish while maintaining the health of your natural nails.
